The history of the church dates back to the 15th century.

The temple was erected in the late 1980s. A magnificent 26 voice-organ, a true gem and pride of the parish, is installed in the church.

In the years 1924-1925 a parish house was built on Herman hill, and in 1927 a church was erected next to it.
