The District Court building, ul. Powstańców Warszawy, mid-19th century.
This imposing edifice, constructed for the Prussian judiciary, was built in stages. The main section was erected between 1859 and 1861, followed by the addition of a side wing (1879-1880), and in the early 20th century the entire complex was unified (1906-1909). The building represents an eclectic style with influences of Neoclassicism and Romanesque architecture, as well as Renaissance and Neo-Baroque elements. It formerly housed the Regional Court and was designed by the architect Eberhard Geick.
